What Consequences If You Have Sex Too Often?

Sex is fun, makes us part and wants to continue doing it, but that doesn't mean you can do it too much. Sex can be unhealthy if it interferes with your daily life.

It might not make sense to think that fun activities like sex can end in misery. But that can really happen. Here are 14 negative effects that can be caused by sex too often, namely:

1. Blisters or bruises

This is one of the obvious effects of excessive sex due to the amount of friction that occurs. This is especially true when you have rough sex. Blisters will make you very uncomfortable to have sex in a certain position, and bruises will feel very painful after you realize it. To avoid pain, try not to have sex with a position that makes you uncomfortable.

2. Pain and swelling

Women are susceptible to feeling pain after a "hot session" on the mattress. This is usually caused by friction in the vaginal wall during penetration. If your partner is experiencing pain, you can choose another way to make your partner happy by avoiding penetration.

3. Dehydration

Having sex involves physical that will make you sweat and lose a lot of fluid. If you have sex repeatedly without drinking, you can become dehydrated in a short time. Especially when you drink alcohol before or during sex. Although harmless, this is the most common effect of sex too often. Also read: Sex Every Day, Between Hope and Reality

The urethral tube that connects the outer area to the bladder is right next to the vagina, a clinical lecturer at Yale School of Medicine. If you have sex, bacteria from the vagina can enter the urethra, which connects the bladder. And when you do a lot of sex in a short time, you are susceptible to this infection.

5. Lower back pain

After a long session of continuous penetration, you can suffer from lower back pain. This can make sexual relations unpleasant. You may have to try another position that doesn't put pressure on your back, or avoid sex until you feel better. This is also a common effect of too much sex.

6. Nerve injury

Although normal humans can withstand all kinds of sexual stimulation, nerves may get a little injury after an intense session. If you have a nerve injury, it's good to stop having sex for a while and avoid too much direct stimulation in the same place.

7. Climax problems

Men often cannot reach orgasm after having sex too often in close proximity. This is a normal reaction and you don't have to worry about it. This usually occurs due to fatigue or reduced sperm count or semen level. The body needs time to recharge before you return to sex. Also read: How often should men experience ejaculation?

Like other physical activities, sexual activity can cause muscle tension but we cannot deny it, because every sex is sure all the muscles feel tense. This can cause pain and even immobility. You may be asked to limit the activity temporarily until you recover.

10. Fatigue

Although it is not a dangerous effect, it can affect the quality of your life. You will not be able to live life in exhaustion. Having sex several times a day will drain all your energy and make you feel tired. During sexual activity, the body releases norepinephrine, epinephrine, and cortisol which increases heart rate and triggers the release of glucose in the blood. All of these activities are tiring, especially if done too often.

11. Hair loss

Having sex increases the level of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the body. This hormone will cause hair loss, because it can kill hair follicles and cause pattern baldness in men.

12. Weak immunity

Your immunity can be weakened if you have sex too often. The prostaglandin E-2 hormone is released into the bloodstream during sex. This hormone can cause problems such as weakening of the immune system, damage to tissues, nerve and muscle pain, as well as a lack of sexual stimulation if overproduction or frequent sexual intercourse.

13. Heart attack

Although this is rare, there are situations when a person has a heart attack during sexual intercourse. Although sex is good for your heart, because it is the same as cardiovascular exercise, you have to do it by considering that you or your partner has a history of heart.

14. Broken penis

Although the penis is not boned, it is important to know that the penis can also be fractured or "broken". If you experience a broken penis, you will usually hear crackling followed by loss of erection. This usually results in swelling at the base of the penis or scrotum.
